My concern is not how easy it is for an experienced developer to "fix it" - my subclasses are full of fixes going back 10 versions or more.

My point - that I have never been able to get across to those who have the ability to change things - is pretty straightforward: having basic things that require an advanced technique to "fix" in the system makes DF look bad & hurts adoption by new users.

An example was a VB developer I know who was looking at DF at my suggestion. He asked me how to set the color of a button: "I set the color property, but it made no difference". I had to admit it'd never worked. He was incredulous & it contributed to his dismissal of the language.

It never has been fixed - just not shown in the properties pane - though it is included in the help.

Sorry Vincent - I know I've annoyed you about this before.
