I always thought this would be a great addition to the routine:
Get_channel_mode or so, with return options:
Channel_unallocated
Channel_in
Channel_out

Especially in when modernising separate compiles into a large webApp, this could save lots of bug hunting.

And I imagine it’s hard to add to the runtime either. With growing the developer pool, I think this has good merits
