    Default cWebForm, typeTime and psMask

    Just a bit quirky.

I have a WebForm that allows the user to enter a time (hours and Minutes)

    Code:
           Object oStartTime is a cWebForm
                Set piColumnSpan to 3
                Set piColumnIndex to 8
Set psLabel to "Time Call Started"
                Set pbShowLabel to False
                Set peLabelPosition to lpTop
                Set psMask to "hh:mm"
                Set peDataType to typeTime

            End_Object
It works pretty good except if there is a value in that object and the mouse enters the object, the Mask is ignored and it displays the seconds too.

ie Instead of 12:30, it will display 12:30:00

Now I know it is the seconds, but some of my customers surely will be confused. I would have thought that the psMask would have not allowed this sort of display.

The psMask is not used when the form is in edit mode (has the focus) for peDataType typeTime (same for typeNumber, typeDate and typeDateTime). In edit mode it uses the psTimeFormat which can be set at the oWebApp object.

Only when peDataType is set to typeASCII then psMask influences the edit mode.

Perfect.... I set the psTimeFormat to "hh:mm" and it works like a charm. Thanks again

    well

that wonderfull description should be in the help page.. for both of the properties.. Help for psMask does not mention anywhere it's not applicable for edit-mode.

The other way arround is also true.

    Thanks
