Yes, I appreciate that being able to specify parent columns in the ordering of a find might be a step too far (for now) given how DataFlex performs its finds. But as for specifying the ordering without having to require an index being created, I'm sure this must be possible, assuming all columns specified are those of the table being interrogated.

If I create a temporary index and then use this in a find, the find simply bases its ordering on the index segments. It would be nice to be able to specify the ordering without the extra work of creating a temporary index. For example, a grid column could support an ordering string (for example, Set psSqlColumnSort to '"OrderHeader"."Ship_Via","OrderHeader"."Order_Num ber"') without there having to be an index for this.
