You can access it through DBBuilder - which should be in the client install.
Do not ever run Reindex on an SQL DB!

You're right . . . I may have copied it in past versions.
But I always prefer on the client side only Reindex or better the internal DFSort command in my application.
DbBuilder can give the user a finger to change something.
Regarding the use in SQL, DFSort doesn't seem to do anything.
Grateful for the information about the effects of Reindex so it's better not even to have it.
I agree dbBldr and dbExplorer should not be an in client install. It is just something which is in my point of view not end use / client software.
And if it is it should be configurable in the install. Did request that a longer time ago. I have not checked if it was optional now

Peter,
This is one of the reasons why I use an installation program written in Dataflex, because this way I control what I should or should not leave in the user's hands.
So I just use Client Dataflex, for reference purposes of my installation module.
I think you'll find it installs with a default dbAdminMode = OFF - which means no changes can be made with it

Garret,
This type of protection is very volatile and easy to be modified by any child with knowledge of Regedit. . .
So at least that child would have to register at DAW, download Studio Personal, to get to DBBuilder.
With SQL the game of modifying the database is another story.
