Just to play PITA (as you know I'm good at it): Someone new to DF inherits as system that has obsolete code & gets compiler warnings: wouldn't he/she expect to learn about it in the help?

    +1

our first and second-ever DF developers (I was the second, in 1991) did some terrible things, but some of that code got recycled into winDF programs, and modern me has frequently had to say "Don't do it that way".

had to say "Don't do it that way".
I normally find myself saying, "What the hell is this code even suppose to be doing!?"

Now the third developer.... fortunately had a habit of putting his initials as the first two characters of every variable. Stopped him doing that and he changed to using the last two.... anyway at least it flags his code....

I worked on a 2.3 system many years ago where every subroutine was an animal: gosub elephant & every label was a place name: goto london.

Cute but when you have 150 .frm's really annoying.
