    Default Implementing Starzen szLibXL

    After a few wrong turns...
Downloaded a fresh copy using the package manager. Deleted the embedded zip.
I didn't regasm the new download.
    Sample worked okay.
    Added my LibXL Licence keys.
Sample again worked okay even though its still Mike's LibXL and LibXL.net dlls in the programs folder.
AND specifying a decent key gets rid of the warnings on line one of the output samples, even though they key doesn't match.
Copied my LibXL-supplied LibXL.dll into programs. Comm error 4399
Copied my LibXL-supplied LibXL.net.dll into programs. Runtime error 'runtime newer than currently loaded runtime'

So, does szLibXL.dll need to be rebuilt for later versions of LibXL?
    test? it compiles doesn't it?

LibXL seems to function without using my licenced dlls as long as the licence key is in place. I added 400 lines of text to one of the sample spreadsheets without issue. Now going to convert an existing Excel12 writer to LibXL and see what breaks

It seems to run anyway without moving my licenced dlls into the programs folder (and doesn't work if I do) so I can keep moving forward at the moment. If you update then I'll happily test for you.

We ended up copying the dlls from the Starzen sample into both the c:\windows\syswow64 or \System32 and the DF programs folders, regasming whichever local copy, and baking my 3.9 licence key into the classes. It doesn't seem to try and match whatever version number is in the dlls to the key, fortunately.

I'm sure that is overkill, we are all 64 bit, though we are also all DF19.1, but it seems to depend on some random factor in the PC as to whether we need to run the Framework or Framework64 version of RegAsm and whether the dlls need to be in the 32 bit or 64 bit folders. we had several combinations work and the same combination wouldn't work on a supposedly identical machine.

Anyway, we got the main users sorted and now we'll work it out properly...... eventually, probably, maybe...

Footnote: I looked at https://www.libxl.com/changelog.html and they've squeezed quite a lot more into it since 3.6. I don't think I need any of it yet...

    Dear,

Did you download the library through the starzen website? I am trying to access the site but I am not having success.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Starzen:

1.Download the PackageClient_1_2_1_1034.zip file and the antivirus (kaspersky) says there is a Trojan and destroys it.
    2. The sz libraries generate an error in DF20 (64), is there a solution?

    Thanks
