    Default New SyncFusion Library

    Hi,

The company PP7/Vitec asked me to write a DataFlex wrapper for the SyncFusion Grid javascript control to be used in their Web Application.
As a result the csfWebList control was created and the SyncFusion Library was born.

This is a WebList control with codejock like features and it is very feature rich.

The best part of it all?

The wrapper control is open sourced so that all DataFlex developers now can use this control.

More details and a demo workspace can be found over at VDF-Guidance.
(The demo and accompanying library has been tested with DataFlex 19.0 and DataFlex 19.1)

    See:
    SyncFusion Library

Important: Please note that while the DataFlex wrapper is open source and free the use, the javascript SyncFusion suite is not a free suite and requires a purchase from SyncFusion (see https://www.syncfusion.com/javascript-ui-controls )

    Hope you like it.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Marco,

The only reason I can share it is because PP7/Vitec allows me to do so, so thanks to PP7.

Also note that I added a line in my post to clarify that the SyncFusion suite - a bit similar to codejock - is not a free suite of controls. (this is mentioned in a few other areas as well, but I do want to make it crystal clear).

SyncFusion however did give me permissions to distribute their library in the demo workspace so you can play with it immediately without having to buy anything.

Looks immensely strong. Definately good to have the option when you need it. Although you won't be buying those licenses for fun :-)

    Sture,

There's a lot of controls in that suite.
For now we only wrapped the Grid control, but you could do so much more.

Certainly the suite is not cheap, especially the first year it is a tad expensive.

The years afterwards are about 50% of that though.

    $445
    /2nd year
However if you need all those features then it will be worth it, as it is impossible to build yourself for less unless you work for free.

BTW, I just now notice they also have a community license.

Perhaps that is something to pursue.

Absolutely true. It could easily be worth it.

From the looks of the requirement for the community license, a lot of DataFlex developers could just use that.

Annual gross revenue less than 1 million US & fewer than 5 developers.

    I think I meet that...
