    Hi guys
It looks like my testing notes and suggestions have been lost in the downtime .
Will attempt to reproduce later this week.
Am very exited that this essential piece of the toolbox is being updated!

    Marco,

Have you been able to reproduce the lost report? Since your feedback was instrumental in many of these changes it would be very valuable for us to have your feedback on their current state.
    Best regards,

    -SWM-

    Hi Stephen

Life has been a bit hectic, however I really appreciate that these important improvements have been considered and built!
I've been able to find my scribbles and here we go:

    1. 'Windows user [] This web Application runs as another user'
This is a really good and useful feature. However not validating the credentials can cause head-aches I think, and also it would be really great if it spells out the username. Even when not selected it could say, "This web application runs as user SYSTEM" as it makes it even clearer that is is NOT running as the local user as some might think.

    2. Bake the '20.0' icon overlay in C:\Program Files\DataFlex 20.0\Bin64\Studio.exe.This could replace the 19.9 icon that is there

    3. Application name in the event log is 'DFWAS200' rather than DataFlex 20.0 Web Application Server. Please note this is ONLY for event ID 0.This is one of the messages you get when changing the service account and type an incorrect password.

    4. Fix the spelling error "Inifinte"
in Server oprions - Performance - Max concurrent sessions

    5. Would be really good to have the PID shown in the processes.Perhaps the first column can be with heading 'Slave Node' when run on the master, and 'PID' when it runs locally, or is the slave node itself.

    6. WebApp icon for task managerIn the samples, the "C:\DataFlex 19.1 Examples\WebOrderMobile\Programs\WebApp.exe" has a different icon. This is as it has an icon linked to the project, which shows in the task manager.
I never knew that was possible but is fantastic to better differentiate between the 50 or so webapp.exe's running.
So I think it should be good to have an icon per application. Perhaps all samples could have the standard DF icon.

    7. Test 1 - Increased Minimal pool from 2 to 20 processes:
Confirmed that the running processes were NOT killed.
Note; The minimum of 20, and maximum 5, still did 20 processes... Perhaps the UI should complain about this.
Reduced Pool from 20 to 2, and confirmed again that two running processes stayed.
    GOOD

    8. cWebReport
Not related to this specific, but cWebReport, flagged as obsolete for Ajax-style application.I think it is still very useful for reporting into a cWebHtml object.
Could have an example in order entry, and updating of documentation as such.

I'm planning to commence stress and uptime testing with a SPLF and JMeter hopefully later this week.

    Kind regards
    Marco

I just had the same message, but it was just related to a server in 'slave' mode.

    Also,

    9. On PrimaryNode, Windows event error 319 "No remote node currently available. All remote nodes appear offline or busy." Should probably be worded to also include the firewall, and or the Server Load balancing settings is not activated.
As this is something most developers would not do all the time, this can never be made too obvious...

    10. When changing an application Load balancing setting to 'controlled by load balancing master node' warn the user when the Server Options dialog is not set to accept connections (flag = "This machine can act as a Web Application Server load balancing slave node").
Also after setting this it appears you need to restart the service. It would be good to tell the user this (just like SQL server has that helpful message when changing the TCP/IP).

If sent you an email message re. the codes. Once sorted I'll do some automated fail-over recovery testing.

    Kind regards
    Marco

    11. It would be really handy (having many WebApp servers), to know in the about box of the WebApp administrator, what the serial# of that server license is. This is especially the case when needing the serial number for updating the DF release (yes us techies can check the license directory, but this would make it much easier and in line with expectations of what normally is in the software's help box).
