Thread: VDFQuery Win7 to Win10

  1. #1

    Default VDFQuery Win7 to Win10

VDF 12.1 Customer migrated from Win 7 Machine to Win 10 and everything is working except the query tool. They are getting a winprint error. I don't have a copy of the exact wording yet but any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Tremain

Bet it is to do with Sentinel.exe.

Ok, so know what? Pretend I know nothing about VDF because I only know a little above that

It would really help to see the exact error message.

Do they have a default printer for the windows machine. Winprint needs that.

I don't have the exact error yet. the first is is the app had and error and needed to shut down. it's followed by an exception error with winprint.dll.

Won't upgrading to the latest VDFQuery fix that? I think he's running a really old one.

If so, Tremaine - go to ftp://ftp.dataaccess.com/pub/product...ware/VDFQuery/

Click on vdfq24f.zip to download it.

Unzip & replace your VDFQuery folder with the one in the zip. You may need to change the SWS file in the VDFQuery folder: Rename VDFQuery190.sws to VDFQuery.sws I believe.
