    Default New build

    1. I don't go on vacay until next Thursday...

    2. We almost* finished rolling out 19.1 yesterday at 5pm, and this time we installed the client to the desktops, not the server...

    3. *'Almost' as in the 2 machines we missed are the directors

    so a win, sorta ...

Probably, but it's not something we specifically test or support.

It runs, as in it does not blow up on startup, but as to will it step on its own toes? Who knows?

Still impressed with the new installer: clean and simple, under 3 minutes (including examples) from start to finish on my Win7 VM.

Re: "Note that installing DataFlex 19.1.58 after uninstalling a prior build will automatically reinstall the evaluation license and you will need to register your DataFlex Studio license after the installation
    completes
" - not so in my case: Help -> About -> System Info (scroll to bottom) shows my licence as usual.

Yeah, I agree. I like the new installer a lot as well.

My only wish is that DAW would make use of the "automatic uninstall" feature of the Advanced Installer. With that feature the installer can automagically uninstall first, then install the new version. It's a really cool feature. However, I haven't found how to control that with a question first like; "A version of this product is already installed. Do you want to uninstall it first?" Something like that.

Despite my optimism the first attempt to install (after uninstall and reboot) failed, just froze, after about 10 minutes.

Trying again tells me an installation is already in progress.
