    Default 19.1 on Windows XP

    Hello,

I have a customer still running XP on a handful of computers, and want to install the 19.1 clients. Will 19.1 work with XP?

    Thanks

Just tell the customer NO. It's as good a reason as any to force them to use better PC's....

I wanted to be sure 19.1 wouldn't install on XP. I was at a customers site and looked at the systems requirements but didn't find what i needed.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Dennis,

I saw that but it only lists Win 10 for desktops OS. I could install 19.1 on Win 7 computers without any issues. I wanted to verify that XP will not work before I tell my customers they had to be replaced.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Yes, the list lists tested and supported environments. That's not to say it won't work on others, but those are not tested and supported.

Without trying to encourage installing on Windows 7, it should work... There are however problems known caused by issues with the Visual C Runtime. If you have issues, please make sure that the Visual C Runtime (https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/...al-c-downloads) for visual studio 2017 install without errors (both x64 and x86). If it says it is already installed please uninstall and reininstall because somehow on windows 7 (and 2012) these runtime installations can get corrupted.
