Wil,
I just built a REST service for a customer and it's absolutely brilliant how easy it was, but the doc needs to be better. I had built SOAP webservices before and had some confusion on how to get started with this new REST. Should I start with a cWebservice? After much reading I decided on the new cWebHttpHandler class. Once I got my head around using this it was drop dead simple to get a full REST service running. Pay attention to the psPath and verb setting. My service is pretty simple one. I love the struct to JSON handling. Made it so easy. Also pay attention to security. I set mine up to use Bearer/Token. Absolutely essential for me to getting it running and tested was using PostMan.

EDIT: I also used the new BasicWebApp and love that as well with no JS Framework required.
