I still had a couple of Windows 2012 R2 licenses laying around and ended up using one of them for the vdf-guidance webapp.
The machine is much snappier as the old 2008 one.

Not that much is needed for the vdf-guidance main site anyways, it's mostly overkill and the only dynamic site running at that server.
However I am glad not having to worry anymore about the EOL date approaching fast.
Which means I can focus on the other servers for vdf-guidance.

FWIW, as it is the site runs on 3 VMs total.
1x windows, (main site, DataFlex webapp)
1x ubuntu (subversion repository)
and 1x debian (redmine project management and tracking).
