We are using the latest versions of DataFlex and DFR with MS SQL Server as the database.

I have read through some of the threads here, the blogs and the help. I want to make sure I understood this correctly. It appears that the only way to have reports running at the client site is to change the datasource via integration by setting the psDatabaseConnection for each report/sub-report before running. Is that correct? Or, is there a better, more centralized way to do this?

We had assumed that DFR would use the active connection from DFConnId.ini file, similar to the way the DataFlex app does, but it doesn't seem to be the case. We used the "Managed Connection" option to build all the reports and selected the INI file. It appears to build the connection string from the INI file when creating the report, and then it embeds it into the report.

Please let me know the best way to do this.

Thanks,
Aditya
