When you are creating an RDS report within DR, when you define something as Number, what does the precision buy you? Assuming that precision of 1 gets you two decimal places, 8 gets you 16?

John,
The numbers are NOT - as in DataFlex - a BCD so 8 means 8 and not 16.
But the size is more for the test data entry than for the max value. Of course if you define a string of 50 you cannot pass 100 characters but for numbers there is fixed space and the precision helps in entering data only.
