    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the feedback on the ReadMe. We can certainly make some improvements.

To answer your question, if you have the latest build of 19.0, you have the latest version of the driver and don't need this update.

If you have 18.1 or 18.2, you should consider applying this update, but you will be the judge of if/when to do it.

Because they include bug fixes and new features, we always recommend using the latest build of the drivers. But you know your application and the details "under the hood" so you would be the best person to determine when to perform the upgrade.

In regards to upgrading the client environment, the first thing to do is to consider if the update is needed and then determine the right moment to do it - just like I described above. If you determine that you are going to update the drivers, you would always first update them in the development environment for that DataFlex revision (e.g. 18.2) and fully test with the application(s) you run in that host revision. Once your applications have been thoroughly tested, deploy the applications with the new version of the driver and plan the upgrade of existing sites.

Keep in mind that this update is to be installed in development environments - the ZIP includes files that are not needed in a client environment. In order to upgrade client sites, you will need to create your own installation and procedure.

    I hope this clarifies things.
