I'll add to the sentiment that both Chuck and Garret have expressed, but from a slightly different angle.

If you look back over the years there have been so many developer presentations and discussions that have had a great impact on the product. When we (the development team) get to see what developers are really up to (not just the question-du-jour you approach us with) we get inspiration and make connections we might not otherwise made - on many levels. We see the stuff you are showing off or discussing, but also how you got (or had to get) to it (from both the tools and language perspectives).
