18.2 Connect to DB from Studio.
I'm porting a DB from ACCESS to MSSQL, which is unusual, but not unheard of.
this screen is the bane of my life.
I've got a "payments" table that exists in the Access DB, and for which I have thousands of lines of code written to read & post payments. I've used the appropriate access & SQL Server tools to replicate this table in SQL_Server. I'm now trying to re-point the filelist & int files to the new location. (A change DataSource Wizard kind of thing, but not for reports)
Why, oh why, do I keep getting "payments1" generated instead of dropping the definition for payments and regenerating it like I asked it to do?
Can there be a popup that says "PAYMENTS" already exists in the file list as "MSSQLDRV:PAYMENTS" do you wish to overwrite this definition?
I personally NEVER want to see the studio decide to rename the database table for me as part of a migration or upgrade.
If the migration will cause there to be two files with the same name, ASK me what I want to do. Please.
