I switched all my clients' drive mappings to UNC/URL's after they were hit with ransom-ware a couple of years back. No problems using UNC/URL's and no hits by those thugs that write the ransom-ware viruses. Don't use drive mappings is my recommendation. Pervasive SQL works just fine with UNC/URL's. I have used PSQL versions in the past 8.5, 9.0, 10.x, 11.x and 12.x. I use DD as they are convenient and easy to use. Saves a lot of time. I have not had any lockouts and I have a few Alias files which do not give my clients any problems.
