Exclamation DataFlex 2015/18.1 Release Candidate is available!

The DataFlex 2015/18.1 Release Candidate builds are now available for download!

The new DataFlex Web Framework mobile features will enable you to quickly develop scalable, good looking mobile/touch applications with only one language on one platform – DataFlex and the DataFlex Web Framework.

The changes between Beta 2 and the Release Candidate are:

    Installations

    • The Studio, Server and Client installations are all available for final testing
    • All of the installations have been switched to installing the 60 day evaluation license - note that if you have a valid 18.x registration code you should use it when installing.

    Studio 18.1.66

    • Fixed bug in Code Editor Drag & Drop. If the source file belonged in an AppSrc sub directory then a 4399 error is raised. Reported by Sture.
    • Some stronger "Invalid Node Handle" error protection added to the WebApp Designer.
    • WebApp Designer: When the Designer is closed, in some situations, it would still process keystrokes/hotkeys. Extra care is now taken to ensure that the focus moves away from the Designer when the panel is closed (reported by Chuck).
    • Fixed an Invalid Node Handle Error in DDO Explorer (reported by Bob Cergol).
    • Cleaned up the zoom view wizard where things didn't quite fit at 125% dpi

    JavaScript Engine 18.1.15.79

    • Fixed a bug where the WebModalDialog was stealing the focus after a WebDateForm was used.
    • Implemented pbResizable of cWebColumn_mixin so that columns that are not resizable now really can't be resized.
    • Fixed a bug with the determination of the invoking view where it was not properly set when navigating multiple levels within a single call.
    • Fixed a bug in the process of showing a view where loaded views could overtake that where not loaded yet. Within the drill-down model this could cause issues. The WebOrderMobile shows this when adding a new detail item and the oSelectInvt view is already loaded while oZoomOrderDtl wasn't.
    • Fixed a bug where the theme name wasn't applied a classname in the DOM if the psCssClass of oWebApp changed at runtime.
    • Fixed Invalid HTML generation for cWebColumnCheckbox as reported on the forum by GhostShot

    DFCtrls 18.1.10

    • Fixed problem with masking on datetime data.

    Packages

    • Resolved remaining todos
    • Fixed problem where ddRemember did not work with dbComboForm's that are displaying the description
    • Fixed Bug 6836: cWebList: If you enter a proper search date it doesn't find anything
    • cDbCJGrid - Fixed parameter mismatch when calling RefreshDataFromDD
    • Removed SelectBestColumn completely from cWebPrompList as it 100% duplicates the super-class.
    • Fix bug with lists (prompt) that support parent superfinding (peRequestFindMode=rfmFindMainSuper) doesn't work with local DD relates (web and windows)
    • Minor change in how cWebList picks indexes with relates-to lists (all private)
    • Changed the way cWebView updates a list (vtSelect view) during a back navigation.

    Examples

    • Reviewed and cleaned up the code in the WebOrderMobile example
    • Remove set piOrdering from sample (we no longer recommend to do this)

    Help System

    • Updated Class Reference
    • Updated What's New
    • Consolidated most of the content about the WebApp Designer in the Studio help book
    • Moved the Mobile/Touch Application Style book from What's New to Developing Web Applications
    • Updated the tWebNavigateData struct doc in the Language Reference

    Language Translation

    • Added translatable constants for mobile templates.
    • Added translatable constants to replace literals.
