How do I deploy 17.1 Beta?

Our Nexus 7" tablet application is ready to be deployed to a few users to get their feedback. I also have the same application (i.e. using the same def and dd) running on a PC. Where do I find a 17.1 Client?

We have a WebAppServer licence albeit that was for the previous VDF 16.1 and I'm unsure if this is OK.

We're working on the client and server installations and they will be published with Beta 3.

You will need 17.x licenses once the beta program is over.

If, having sweated for weeks to get this to work, you are now telling me that there is no means to deploy for testing purposes I have to say I am disappointed. The beta looks just fine to me - all the local testing is working well - and I now wish to have two or three units 'in the field' to carry on the good work. That does not seem unreasonable (well, not to me!) and must be in your interests too.

Please tell me how this may be done.

SandyI may be way off beam here but I presume, given the fact that your app is running on a Nexus tablet, that it is a 17.1 web application.I don't think that you need a 'client' licence as such but need to make your IIS server running Webapp 17.1 'visible' to your Nexus (VPN, static IP etc.). This would allow you to test your setup.Maybe SWM can adviseEric

Beta is generally regarded as a 'buggy' stage of development - traditionally (with DAC anyway) Client installations have come out at RC time!
