Default 4405 Error number out of range. Invalid Job Number.

    Greetings,

I have an old system using Crystal 8 and VDF 9.0. Crystal CK 2.0. I am getting the above errors when I moved my workspace to a different computer. A fellow employee is taking over this customer so we sent him the workspace in Tulsa. Everything seems to work except the Crystal reports run from VDF. If I run the reports from Crystal, they work ok.
    The 3 errors are:
    Crystal report error -
4405 Error number out of range.
    4405 Invalid Job number.
    4405 Print Job not opened.

It has been a long time since I had to fight the DLLs but I think that is the problem.
The error line numbers given are not in my program but somewhere in the runtime.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Tod,

Read this article from the Data Access Knowledgebase, it could be the key.

    Vincent,

I made the changes and recompiled the program. Now the error does not say "error number out of range" it says "Failed to create the Crystal Query Engine". Does this mean anything to you or has anyone else solved this problem and is willing to share?
Note: The other two errors remain the same.
    Thanks,

    Good day tod,

I am currently getting the same 4405 Error using VDF9 and crystal 9. This site has more info on the error:
LINK TO THE 4405 ERROR IN CRYSTAL : http://www.dataaccess.com/kbasepubli...ArticleId=1764

However, i have uninstalled all the crystals on my machine and reinstalled 9 and the error is still being generated. How did you resolve this?

    Thank you,
    Daniella
