Pepe,
Maybe I can find something of use in my archive of archives. What do
they mean by a manual - the complete 2.3b DAC book , a simple "How to
use DataFlex 2.3b" or something in between ?

As much as possible would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Dear Pepe,
I hope that you will be doing fine. How was your quest for DataFlex 2.3b manuals? I am also looking for
a) User's Manual
b) Encyclopedia of Commands
c) Quick Reference Card
Were you able to get anything from archive of archives?

Faliq,
DataFlex 2.3 is now over 30 years old, I doubt if you will find old books (unless used and the owner don't want them anymore). In electronic format there was an initiative called NFOFlex but it was licensed and a TSR and meant for plain DOS. Even if you find this I doubt if it runs (aside from the license). The best I can do for you is telling where the 3.2 (so a much newer but still 22+ years old product) PDF docs can be found. The location is ftp://ftp.dataaccess.com/pub/product...flex/doc/DF32/.
I strongly advise you to get this application/customer into the 21th century and redesign the UI into Windows or Web using the same base routines from the past. AFAIK the 2.3 code can be compiled and runs under DataFlex 19.0 as long as the UI part has been rewritten.

There is a very small chance I may have the 'blue book box' somewhere and a set of grey manuals with the pink(?) logo which I think may have been 3.0/3.01 ?
Vincent's 3.2 PDF I'm sure is a better choice and as he says you really should be updating if it is still in use...what hardware is it running on ?
I suspect the shipping would be too expensive if you are not in the UK but if you are really interested I could have a look for them

They're painting my office and today we found the Datamodes user manuals, dated 1988. I've changed offices 3 time without ever seeing them before. They'd have been handy back in 1991 ...

Helen just switched me on to this.
I have EVERYTHING... but on paper, not electronic.
Just dug out the 2.2 manual and the complete 2.3 set: Primer, User's Guide, Encyclopedia. I also have at least one complete set of 3.x manuals (I binned all the extra ones a few years ago to save space).
