Re: VDF DWord is not the sam as Microsoft DWord.

I guess you are correct Evertjan, but then this version of GetTickCount will not work correctly. When the returnvalue from GetTickCount exceeds 2Gigs, the integer will overflow, and you will get a...

That seems to be a better choice. Cannot see how I missed that one. Thanks :)

VDF DWord is not the sam as Microsoft DWord.

We are using the external windows api function GetTickCount, that returns a DWord, to log when programs start and stop, but we now see a little problem with this.
    Microsoft and Dataflex have...

Re: Problem after converting tables to MSSQL server.

I guess that is correct. When I look at the filelist in DBBuilder, all the "Table name" are uppercased in our Pervasive.SQL database, but the "File name" is a mix. Some are uppercased, but most are...

    Re: OT: Visual Impaired users

We have not done this, but just tried "Narrator" (Start menu | All programs | Accessories | Ease of access | Narrator) in windows on one of our VDF17.1 programs, and it seems to work.

Re: "Fixed": Problem after converting tables to MSSQL server.

Yes, we are aware of all the possible problems with collate sequences. We have been doing this for some years no, so we have learned the hard way :)

We support both Pervasive.SQL and MSSQL...

"Fixed": Problem after converting tables to MSSQL server.

I had to leave for a meeting yesterday, but my coworker continued working on the problem. It was "fixed" like this:

    1. Ran the following SQL query that generates a new SQL query to uppercase the...

Re: Problem after converting tables to MSSQL server.

My problem is that DBBuilder created the tablename in lowercase in the SQL server. As we are using a case sensitive collate sequence, and have uppercased all our embedded SQL querys, all our embedded...

Re: Problem after converting tables to MSSQL server.

    That is correct Gregg :)
We have a program that do the migrating for us, but that crashed after about half of the tables (the transaction log ran full). All the tables converted using our program...

Problem after converting tables to MSSQL server.

Using VDF17.1 and mssql drviver 6.0.0.30 we converted about 400 tables to MSSQL server. The problem is that DBBuilder have lowercased the tablenames. All our tablenames are uppercased in the...

Re: VDF 17.1 WSDL stopped working.

Yes. I have Firefox set up to clear the cache when I quit Firefox. I also tried to do i manually.
I just think it's strange that Firefox suddenly stopped displaying the wsdl. There where no Firefox...

    "Solved"

It turned out that using another web browser solved the problem. Strange, as I have always used Firefox without any problems. It was even working yesterday before I posted in this group. Now it just...

    VDF 17.1 WSDL stopped working.

We have a VDF17.1 webapp, that consists of a number of webservices. 10 minutes ago all was working fine. I press F5 to run the webapp from the studio, got the list of services in my webbrowser, and I...
  15. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

Thanks Frank! I will keep this in mind, so I can test it, if we get this problem on tables where we cannot delete the data. This time we where lucky. The table getting this problem was a table with...
  16. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

Yesterday, I think this happened during upgrade of a table also. One of our customer systems was upgraded from VDF15.1 to VDF17.1 yesterday. In that process, we also upgrade the database tables,...
  17. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

    Thanks for the info Stephen!
Not the answer I was hoping for, but at least we now know what to do :)
  18. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

Thanks for the warning! Did not know this could happen.
  19. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

Any news on this one? Are you (DAW) going to make the recnum a bigint in the future?
The reason I ask, is that we have now removed recnum support at one customer. For now, it is just 1 table at 1...

Ok, then my theory about Trend might be wrong. When strange things happen, I usually suspect AV or SMB2 :)

    Re: vdf17 pervasive 11 deadlock?

Is Trend antivirus running on this system?
The reason I ask, is that we have been getting lock timeouts on 3 different customer systems lately, and all of them are running Trend antivirus. The...

    Ok. Thanks for the update.
  23. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

You are correct Martin. All our indexes is created with DBBuilder. Index 3 has recnum as the last index segment, but we are going to remove recnum, and add other fields to this index to make it...
  24. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

Thanks for the clarification Martin! Helps a lot.
  25. Re: How to remove RECNUM support on one or more tables (MSSQL serveR)

I would be interested in this too :)
I deleted the "PRIMARY_INDEX" (just to see what happened) setting from the .INT file, but still DBBuilder/MSSQLDRV.DLL thinks index.1 is the primary index.
