Frank, I think you can set a range by setting a validation type and making the range 0 to ????. It will be under the validation setup in a DD.

I agree with Michael - Make a child table for the individual parts. Our bill of materials system you can build an item and dis-assemble an item as well. The child file make it very easy.

Michael - I do have the client installed on our MS 2019 Server running terminal server. Might not help you much, but just confirming the client installs ok.

I've looked on several of our Win 10 computers running 1903 & 1809 and the setting isn't there. Since it is "Beta" does it not appear on some computers?

Bob - I did try unregistering it and re-registering it. There is not another Chilkat dll. But now you have me wondering. The problem actually started Friday, but over a week ago I uninstalled DF...

I have 1 computer (out of maybe 25) that I am having an issue with having the chilkat dll registered. The error is "Unable to instantiate COM object. ActiveX component may not be properly installed...
