Class Palette vs Workspace class lists

Obviously (yet another) part of my education that I slept through or memory cells dropping off more rapidly, but what makes a sub class join the palette?

Some of the subclasses I've built are in...

    I hadn't, but now I have....
very succinct and might help kick my arse into gear.
I need to overlay that with moving from Pervasive and doing so with a lot of data so express won't cut it.

    Re: Suggestion

seemed logical to me, too. But nope. If the .src is in appsrc then the outputs are in appsrc. Nice idea but I think being able to configure exactly what outputs go where would be very useful.

    Re: Suggestion

    I will now :) thanks
Funny but I was thinking of just this for keeping precompile stuff out of the main appsrc so I can run 19.1 and 20 compile batches automatically

    Suggestion

I would very much like to be able to use the workspace ws file to redirect *.err, *.dep, *.prn (and maybe manifest and cfg) files to other than the Appsrc folder. Ditto dbg, I suppose.

just did this, it's very nice indeed. I've even set up most of my other programs to use it. DevArt Code Compare doesn't allow font changes but everything else is now consistent. Thanks.

    Precompile

so, I'm trying a common set of source files that can be accessed by either 19.1 or 20.0. Anywhere in the code where things need to differ I use #IF conditional compilation.

    So far it works...
