    Re: DfSplat Preview release

    Hi Andrew,

When you open a file dfSplat asks the debugger component if the file is part of your debugging project.

I have seen what you are reporting here, but haven't looked into it yet.
    IIRC...

    Re: DBI Technologies ctButton Image

    Sam,

That's the interface for connecting to the automation object of the image, not to actually load the image from a file.
See also: cComStdPicture for more background on that.

Re: Passing empty String to DLL

    Mike,

    PMJI,

Initializing it to "" does not work, it makes no difference, you'll get the null pointer.
You can however initialize it to a single space.
    eg.

    Peter,

I also expect the following to work (which will avoid the manual allocation/freeing of memory)

Pretty sure that it is one of the features of Matt's message box replacement:

If I'm not mistaken then it takes the description from the registered workspace the first time you open it in the hammer and saves it in the .hws file.
So apparently you used the hammer on this...
  12. Re: Find in Files Fails Frequently and frustratingly

The Hammer automatically skips .svn folders :p (also .git and .hg folders) plus you can change a setting to not show any matches in commented out source.
It's a matter of selecting the workspace and...
  13. Re: Find in Files Fails Frequently and frustratingly

I find it peculiar that it does not work reliable with the Studio and I am wondering why.
If we're going to recommend other tools... can I recommend The Hammer? :)
    That's my preferred tool somehow....

Updating my windows VM, hence the skype and not a reply here...

    That would be:
    net start <servicename>
    net stop <servicename>

or use the SC command if you want to have more control.
