You are on your way out the door and they haven't suspended your privileges...

Worked perfectly, I use functions for lots of stuff, I just did not know about the next function. Thanks for help both of you.

So I take this to mean that it's been fixed?

Thanks Vincent,
This is interesting because this is a hosted system on a virtual machine, which only has the printers that whoever is logged on has.
I'll accept that it can't be changed.

I have two RDS reports, yes the same two, that are demonstrably the same thing with different columns. I have them Grouped and I put a new page after the group footer of each. This has the unwanted...
This is just a place holder so I can log it later. When you select a number of objects and want to apply same formatting to all, the vertical alignment is not changed and for numbers, custom format...
I have two new reports that nothing is special about, they are RDS, I cannot set margins less than .5 inches. When I try it switches back to portrait from landscape and resets the margins to .5.
When you are creating an RDS report within DR, when you define something as Number, what does the precision buy you? Assuming that precision of 1 gets you two decimal places, 8 gets you 16?
I considered that, I got a concession from them that we can put that part off for a bit. However I'd like to solve the problem eventually. RDS may be the required solution.
another clarification Vincent, I'm looking to somehow identify the row that contains the median value in one column.
this is in DF databases, we are in discussions to update to SQL, just haven't...
It's ordered on Assets and the row for the median is dependent upon how many rows in the Group.
If there are 25 rows, I expect to show row 13 as the median.... in another post Vincent sort of suggested that I might be able to access a row, if that's a case, I could "calculate" what I think that...
so if I settled on the median being the "rounded" one, could I "highlight" that line in the report at group break time?
so I guess I wasn't really clear, let's say that I have a report grouping with 25 lines. I need to produce a group footer line for averages of all of the amounts and another for the median based on...
Garret I am impressed.... that is FINE work in DR. Were you able to get it solved.
John
I need to produce a report that has Average totals on grouping as well as the median numbers, anybody got any ideas on how I might accomplish that. I could stuff them into a db and identify the...
Thanks all.
Is there a Parse or a Convert function in DF that will safely convert string to Numbers, Integers?
I don't have access to the 20 years worth of work that I created at KBS, and it's been two years,...
Thanks Mike, appreciate the help.
There's such a vast amount of doc in the help, it's kind of hard to digest very quickly. I figured out how to "find" the namespace without inspecting the file...
What I've maybe not made clear is that I have to retrieve maybe 120 values from each file, each has an identifier like
<cc:RIADC894>. I found this ...
My file is not complex, but it's not simple either. From that example I am not able to tell what I need to do. I'll read more.
John
FindNode looks promising.... except it returns string and most of these elements are numeric.

With the previous XML file, all of the nodes are siblings of the root node. If I'd like to find the value of the following <cc:RIADC894>, do I have to traverse the entire file and check each...
