  1. Re: DUF 2.1.1: DUF deletes columns, tables and indexes?

    Hi Jose,

Hmm, I can't remember why I remarked that passage in the ApiColumnsUpdate function. But it might have been while I run into problems updating an SQL server database with an auto-generated...

    Re: DUF: ApiColumnRename help typo

    Hi Jose,

OK, exactly what do you think is wrong with that sentence?

    Here it is;
"A file handle to the table name. Same as the Filelist.cfg slot number."

    Re: DFRefactor installers

    Hi Jose,

    RE: Future with DUF 3

I think you're absolutely right. In fact DUF 2 should have been installed as "C:\Projects\DbUpdateFramework2", to distinguish it from the previous/first version....
  5. Re: DUF 2.1.1: Thoughts about OnPostUpdate at cDbUpdateVersion

Although I can agree to a certain extent that it might be a bit strange for two update objects to make one update. But if you think about it, it is really two separate updates. One is doing database...
  6. Re: DUF 2.1.1: UtilTableOpen error when creating relationship

    Hi Jose,

OK, I have just double-checked this and you are correct. What you suggest is the exact change that is needed to fix the bug. Thank you for reporting and for providing a solution!

    The...

    Re: DFRefactor installers

    Hi,

The way the DUF installer works is the intended way, and it should have worked for you with the DFRefactor installation as well. However, because I screwed up when updating the web-page with...
  8. Re: DUF 2.1.1: UtilTableOpen error when creating relationship

Thank you Jose. That was indeed a bug.

It happened because the ApiTableRelate function was calling the UtilTableOpen function with a hTable = 0, and that didn't work to well :)

    I have send Jose...

    Couldn't agree more!
  10. Re: DUF 2.1.1: Thoughts about OnPostUpdate at cDbUpdateVersion

    Hi there,

The OnPostUpdate event most certainly could be changed to something along the lines of your suggestion.

But before doing so, may I ask you a question?

    If the event is version...
  11. Re: DFRefactor 20190426: Unused local variables curiosity

    Vincent,

Of course the comma does not belong at the variable line. Who has said otherwise?

I referred to Garrets comment about the change to earlier DataFlex versions.
  12. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

    Good to hear Jose!
  13. Re: DFRefactor 20190426: Unused local variables curiosity

I sincerely hope that DAW is looking into this.

As it seems to be something that was introduced by the 19.1 compiler, it should be corrected.
  14. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

    Hi Jose,

    OK, then try this download link;

    https://send.firefox.com/download/a662985e94e6745e/#uHCsHg76vuzkRKULiHxbeg

Only good for one download or one day.
  15. Re: DFRefactor 3.1.0: Unused local variables function broke multi-line function definitions (Return keyword)

    Wil,

I had by mistake uploaded the wrong version of the DFRefactor installer to the rdctools.com website so he got the wrong version. It has now been fixed.
  16. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

Yes, you had to download it immediately as it expired after one download or after one day.

So lets try again. Here's the new download link;...
  17. Re: DFRefactor 3.1.0: IN -> Contains function broke Insert command

Thanks Jose for bringing this to my attention.

The version on www.rdctools.com/downloads has now been updated/corrected.

By mistake I had uploaded the wrong version (to an old one).

    P.S....
  18. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

    Hi Jose,

Did you download the file I linked to? That version should fix the problem with the version number and thus also the object names generated.

Please let me know how it went.
  19. Re: Has skinning your apps still supported?

    Hi Rachel,

Oh, I forgot to test status panels. Thanks for the code.
  20. Re: Has skinning your apps still supported?

Thanks. I have now run some tests on the Win 10 skins under DF 19.1. What I found was that it does seem to handle popup modals better. In earlier revisions (don't know if it was the skins...
  21. Re: Has skinning your apps still supported?

    Hi Peter,

Would you mind sending those skins my way? I don't subscribe to the full suite of CodeJock any longer simply because I have had little use for them.

However, I would like to run some...
  22. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

Thanks for the feedback Jose, much appreciated.

You're right about the version number being a bit over enthusiastic with protecting against wrong version numbers. I had added logic so that it...

    Re: Windows Notifications

Yes, there is the CodeJock suite that does Windows messaging. But you need to buy the full suite, as DAW's DataFlex CodeJock components consist of only three of the full suite.

    See the "VDF SIG...
  24. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

    Jose, good news!

I have fixed the bug you reported and created a new build for the installer. Please visit http://www.rdctools.com/downloads and download it again.

    Hopefully this will work...
  25. Re: DUF 2.1.0: Wrong suggested file name (and all related stuff)

Thanks for the report. That is indeed a bug that is related to the regional setting of the decimal mark.

As I've running another setup it had not occurred to me that this could be the case.

    I...
