    Re: MSSQL DateTime DateTime2

    Hi Peter,

I only use DateTime2. In MSSQL the datatype is DataTime2(0). If you want another precision you can change it easily in the SQL Server Management Studio.

I really like the DataFlex 18.x and 19.x icons. Is there also a version of DataFlex 20.0?
  4. Re: MS-SQL Collation, Latin1_General_CI_AS, DF_Collate.cfg & String Comparison

    Hi Clive,

The collating sequences starting with "SQL_" are used for compatibility and it is a "feature" that they ignore the "-" in indexes. So probably Latin1_General_CI_AS works better (if you...

    Data entry in Japanese

I have converted the Order Entry database to SQL Server 2019. Data entry of a Chinese name works as expected. I have tried a Japanese name and then I get a fatal error.

    I have used Nissan Motor...

Re: DF 19.1 problem with skinning?

    Hi Sandro,

I have tested with and informed DAW and CodeJock. The skinning works when you use the CodeJock control and DataFlex packages for skinning of DataFlex 18.2. Not ideal, but there is a...

Re: SQL Server 2019 and UTF8

I have done some testing with Japanese customer names with VARCHAR columns and Latin1_General_100_CI_AS_SC_UTF8 collating in SQL Server 2019. This works perfectly with the SSMS and Excel import from...

    Re: SQL Conversion Dates Question

The default date for DATE and DATETIME2 is '0001-01-01'. Try to avoid DATETIME when you have the choice.

I have explained how it should work in DF 19.0 and DF 19.1. See previous message. Indeed the support of themes has been changed (improved) since DF 19.0. Maybe you first have to try...

    Re: RibbonBar and Office2013

    Hi Peter,

In DF 19.0 and DF 19.1 it has to work with this. For older version you have to search for something similar on the DAW forum.

    Re: SQL Server and Http

161 isn't a normal HTTP or DataFlex error. It could be an error of the third party server and probably they are using Pervasive. Otherwise I can't explain it.
