    Thank you! That worked!
  2. Re: Ugh -- same thing AGAIN! Administrator rights required! What is going on?!

I don't know... I tried to change the name of the file in the folder from xxxxx.dat to xxxxx.dat2 and it didn't like that either.

It gave me an error that IIS.EXE was using the file.

    How do I...
  3. Ugh -- same thing AGAIN! Administrator rights required! What is going on?!

OK -- this is the THIRD time I have had problems with Dataflex and Windows 10. I have no idea why this continues to be a problem, but it is incredibly frustrating!

    I am running DF as...
  4. Re: Default Startup View Different For Level Of User?

Thanks Evertjan. I'm a bit confused by your function sample.

Where do I put that function? How do I call it? What do I do with the handle that is returned by the function?
  5. Re: Default Startup View Different For Level Of User?

I'm not following you on this Samuel. When the webapp is starting up, that's when I want to check to see what view should be loaded. After that, I don't know why I would want to change it.

Is there a way to change the default startup view, based on the user level ("rights" column) in the WebAppUser table?

    Re: Admin Error on Startup

    Thanks Sam.

I'm not sure I made myself clear earlier. I purchased a brand new laptop. I did not install any other software on it. I installed Dataflex Developer. It doesn't work.

    That's it....

    Re: Admin Error on Startup

Samuel -- I have heard of Active-Directory, but I don't know exactly what that is, or how to enable / disable it. My laptop is just a laptop, with no network or anything -- so I doubt it's in an...

    Re: Admin Error on Startup

Just tried this. I purchased a BRAND NEW computer and installed DataFlex Studio on it. I made sure to install IIS (which was the default). I receive the exact same error.

    Re: Admin Error on Startup

Yes -- the file is there.

When I run it outside the studio, it complains, "Invalid command line passed to the wizard. The wizard must be called with a T=Transfer File Name parameter."

    1) Open the Workspace
    2) Click on "Create a Project"
    3) Click on "Desktop Web Project"
    4) This is where I get the error shown in my initial post.

  22. Re: How to set up different users in EC2 t2.micro?

Yeah -- I already set up users in Windows. The larger problem is when I click on "Connect" in AWS, it creates a login for ADMINISTRATOR, and only ADMINISTRATOR. There does not seem to be a way to...

  24. How to set up different users in EC2 t2.micro?
