    Re: Struct comparing to blank

I did NOT know that was there, and I didn't see it when I read through the struct stuff before posting my question, though I knew there had to be something...

    Thanks, Marco.

Re: Alternatives to Codejock for skinning?

Thanks. Regretably I have already renewed under protest, but probably for the last time as I don't think we use anything else. We'll see. I've told the guys they have 12 months to find something cool...
  6. Re: Seq_New_Channel doesn't 'see' a channel is already in use

I've been a programmer for 50 years, I'm not starting that nonsense now...
  7. Re: Seq_New_Channel doesn't 'see' a channel is already in use

Never noticed this before, maybe it's a late addition, but re-reading the help on the topic, the very last sentence on the page says...

needed to be higher up the help page to catch my eye...
  8. Seq_New_Channel doesn't 'see' a channel is already in use

We have a couple of programs that run headless on servers, processing little text files generated by our system and POS and doing lots of useful things like generating emails and web pages, printing...

    Alternatives to Codejock for skinning?

We purchased Codejock soon after the vdfSig classes became available, but have only really used skinning, and that just to differentiate new Dataflex versions.

    They raised their 2-dev renewal...

    Re: cvFileDialogs.pkg /File_dlg.pkg

    Interesting.
If I leave this as a vSelectFile then

    Set CreatePrompt_State to False

    creates the file silently.

OTOH if I use vSelectSaveFile what we actually need is...

    Re: cvFileDialogs.pkg /File_dlg.pkg

Not sure it would in this specific case as its always creating the file. I may road test that with this particular user.

    thanks for the explanation.

I'm using vSelectFile (which works except as detailed above), should I in fact be using vSelectSaveFile?

    Re: Form_Margin doesn't always work?

I don't. What you saw is what you get.

Have to say I've used form_mark for 10 years without seing an issue before

    cvFileDialogs.pkg /File_dlg.pkg

Not sure where the complication exists so please move to the code forum if I am in the wrong place.

    Seriously guys...
  20. Re: Libxl and other lesser official DAW libraries need a newsgroup too…

That's kind of my point. I know my 'specific question' has already been addressed in the newsgroups somewhere, but it was about a newer library that the forum managers didn't see fit to isolate in...
  21. Re: Libxl and other lesser official DAW libraries need a newsgroup too…

    +1

That's even better. My question was prompted by looking for a LibXL post and not recalling where I'd seen it. As you imply, some libraries are pretty much self-explanatory and accumulate...

  23. DF LibXL needs a better 'read a spreadsheet' example

I've converted several programs that write an xlsx from the Starzen LibXL to the dataaccess one, the included examples were relevant and helpful.

    Rebuild DD List

This is a PITA to run, as it has to be supervised.

Can't it be changed to run quietly and just display the list of missing file info at the end?
