    Re: Create Alias DD fails

I have alias DDs as well as what I call "empty" DDs - instead of Customer.dd which has all sorts of extra code in creating, update, etc., CustomerEmpty.dd has just the bare bones field info & no...

    Re: procedure creating

As said, it's exactly the same as what Michael posted - other than table/field names & checking = 0 instead of = "" because the field is an integer.

    Re: procedure creating

As I said, you would have to set NmEmplds.CodInterno before calling request_save. The code above is not the same table - did you paste the correct code?

    Re: procedure creating

When in a locked state (creating, update, backout, save_main_file in particular) - use the global buffer - Move file.field to ... Not get field_current_value.

    This is what Samuel meant.

    Re: procedure creating

The code Michael gave you will work - I use something almost identical. You would have to set NmEmplds.CodInterno before calling request_save (which calls creating).

Re: Looping through a dynamic DbCJGrid

    Hi -

You need to work directly with the datasource. Check the help for "DataSource" (lowercase is for DR) & there's an example that's close to what you want.
  9. Re: A grid showing all order lines for selected customer

For one thing - you should not use a local variable with constrain as - use piCustomer(Self) instead of moving it to a local variable. That doesn't make your code work, but it's still best to not...
  10. Re: A grid showing all order lines for selected customer

Never mind, the SQL Filter I posted didn't work...

If you can use a non-editable grid, then you could fill a plain cjgrid from an SQL statement.

    Hi Dennis -

At the risk of annoying folks @ DAW (further), I too would find these incredibly helpful. I'd add a break when a property/local variable changes to the list - though I think they're...

Re: The place for Wish Lists

    Vincent -

The drawback to this method is that no one else ever knows about it - since HDE tickets are private. I would think it'd be helpful to DAW to know whether an idea was popular with just...
  16. Re: Help mismatch with pbAutoServer default value

I haven't checked in 20, but in 19.1, I just created a new lookup with the wizard in the OE workspace & it defaulted to True. If I simply create a new lookup without the wizard, it's False.

    Just...

    Re: cCJGrid Row Height

Maybe a silly question, but shouldn't we be able to simply set a property in the grid object to set the row height?
