    Re: sql/date Filter

    Edgar

As YYYY-MM-DD, or if a DateTime YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.mmm (mm is minutes, mmm is milliseconds, which is optional anyway, and you can just pass the date form to either).

    Re: New REST support

    Edgar

If you want to create a RESTful interface in DataFlex, I recommend up get up to 19.1 ASAP. It is possible to do in 19.0 (see here) but much, much easier in 19.1.

I'll send you the REST stuff from Synergy.

For the rest (tee-hee <g>), I just don't know what the future will bring!

    Re: New REST support

    Wil

I have built a set of classes for building RESTful web services in DataFlex, but not yet actually released it (although anyone who was on my course at Scanduc or Synergy will have a copy of...

    Re: Demo site not working

    Torben

If you are using Chrome, I find that it sometimes preserves an error state even when the error is no longer being returned - try another browser, maybe?

All four demos are working for me - what do you see not working?

Re: What happens to the object?

    Matt

It is indeed a nice hack, but better just to be tidy from the get-go IMO:

    Procedure Test
    Handle hoJson hoObj
    Boolean bOK

    Get Create (RefClass(cJsonObject)) to...

Yes, I can see the virtue in that. Is it on the roadmap then?

You may think that is clearer, but your sample line of code is totally opaque to me! ;)

    Dot notation

At Synergy (2019), during the "Talk with the Experts" session, there was considerable enthusiasm around the subject of being able to use Dot Notation in DataFlex.

I confess that I am not clear...

Well if I explicitly get its object handle, then if definitely survives the destruction of its parent (and if I copy that to a global then I can see that it survives the end of the...

  16. Re: Does Security Library support Signing XML docs?

In the past I have done this using the open source XmlSec library. (I had to modify it a bit, which was a very painful exercise, for reasons I won't go into here, but I think it is easier...
  17. Re: I bet this program doesn't do what you thing it does.

More explicitly I'd expect that the underlying test would be something a bit like (Ascii(StrArray) > Ascii(StrArray[i+1])) (or whatever). Fundamentally that is doing a test on two integers,...

If I were you, I would then create all of the components of the new web app in the AppSrc of the old workspace. If you do that then you can have them in your new web app and at a later...

It is somewhat of a fiddle to set up, but once it is in place it isn't much of a problem.

Re: Same workspace, but 2 web apps

    Hi Rachael

AFAIK, this is something that you just can't do. A given workspace can have only one WebApp and be associated with only a single Virtual Directory.

My approach to this problem in...
