    Re: I wish there was....

    So the order is:

WebSets (in what order? Probably does't matter, so long as the JavaScript doesn't have spooky side effects)
ClientActions (in "as-executed in the DataFlex code" order)

Thanks Harm - didn't know that.

(Actually I think I did, as far as explicit "Send ClientAction xyz" messages are concerned. ;))

In a WebApp, which this is, when you send a message like ShowYesNo, which requires the user to interact on the client, that message is queued until the current request completes. When that...

    First look

Install went fine, but on dismissing the browser that pops-up, the studio was initially blank with a wee message saying "File not found" (or similar) which went away after a moment and the Studio...

I agree - each library should have its own repo. I've tried both ways. Libraries are intened to be used across multiple projects, but if each project has its own version, then bad sh1t...

    Re: iFrame same origin issues

    Sam

Check higher up the tree... the Web Site or the server. These things get inherited. But... I'm wrong, because if inherited it should show in the virtual directory too, saying "Inherited". ...

AFAIK, there is no limit on the complexity of the data structures it will handle.

    Re: iFrame same origin issues

    Sam

The X-Frame-Options HTTP Header is set to "sameOrigin", which means that you cannot load content from another domain/host.

If you want to have that happen, you will have to (at least)...

Re: Struggling with Structs and Arrays

    Sandy

Just from a quick look, your Controls_Array is a local variable. Any changes you make to it in Fill_Array are lost when the procedure finishes. The struct definition is global, but not (in...

    DF Cookie

    Hi

I've got a situation where, to satisfy an external security consultant, we need to set the "secure" and "httpOnly" flags on the DF Cookie.

I'm thinking that this might be done conditional on...

    Re: #rem

But FMAC is not compiled with DFCOMP, but rather with DFPACK (into Lib\Flex.cfl), I think.

Different beastie? Or one masquerading as the other. Dunno.

  19. Re: Session from one user appearing to different user in two different places.

In a WebApp you should only use global variables, regular properties and raw file buffers (which are themselves global) for things which either don't change at run time - handles to singleton objects...

Absolutely NOT. See here. That's exactly the sort of thing Henri was warning about.

We have been warned (and not just in the DF community) for decades about the evils of global...

As I understamd it, session is created (in general) when the user invokes the WebApp, prior to login. If the user then logs in the value used for the login ID gets...
