    Re: Export to PDF issue

You're right - I'd forgotten that was in there. It wasn't originally, but Windows seemed to need it to keep up with PDF creation.

I would like to scale this back. Yes, I was upset by your...

    Re: Deferred reports

Yup. I tend to put a procedure just outside the RV object (effectively putting it on the desktop - but keeping it in the same file as the report for ease of coding changes).

    However, I am not a...

    Re: Deferred reports

    Kinda...

It seems that this works on deferred views from outside:

    Handle hoView hoObj

    Get Activate_oWhatever_rv_Handle to hoView
Get Object_Id of oWhatever_rv to hoObj

Thank you Vincent. We will try version 7. It only takes about 20 min. on my machine though.

    Re: Crossed data

Why would they be nervous? :)

I have seen this happen before & what caused it was a header/detail view where I used the DAW method (as in OE) of having the save of the first child/grid record...

    Re: Export to PDF issue

To be clear - it's not GPFs, but a more silent error. Everything proceeds along as if it's all OK, but the PDFs switch to the blank printout. Since the process creates the PDF & immediately emails...

    Re: Export to PDF issue

Well Vincent, I could send you a 65GB DB & the customer's report so you could see it happen in 2500 attempts, but when it can be duplicated with one small view in the OE workspace I thought that made...

    Re: DFCONN.INI getting modified

You sir, are preaching to the choir. I've been trying to convince a client that a guest account with no password having full rights is not a good idea. Oh yeah - 200+ spreadsheets using this...

    Re: Export to PDF issue

While I really don't want to be a pest, I'd like to know if this is anything that will be looked at and/or fixed. I've got a client who is unimpressed & is asking about this every few days.

Thanks! While I certainly refer to SC regularly, I hadn't thought of it in this instance. Good idea!

    Re: Probably a stupid idea

    Hi Wil -

Bummer! I was hoping for the actual info, as I may have 12 files open at a time & my little brain gets lost. But you knew that...

    Thanks.

    Probably a stupid idea

But... When have I ever been afraid to look stupid?

It seems to me that the Undo Buffer must be available to the studio for the Undo button to work.

Now - tie that in with what just happened...

  18. Re: pbReversOrdering in cDbCJGridPromptList

Don't get me started. A system I'm working on a lot these days has reverse booleans, for example: pbDoNotPrint. Set it False to print, True to not print. Then there's the Customer.InActive field...
  19. pbReversOrdering in cDbCJGridPromptList

    Hi -

The property does not show in the properties pane in either 19.0 or 19.1 - but adding "Set pbReverseOrdering to True" in code works fine - or at least seems to.

Is there a reason it's not...

Re: Date Stamp on Last Save Date?

This is where subclasses come in. I've updated my subclass for the DataDictionary to do this automatically.

In the subclass, add something like this:

  23. Re: DR (Dataflex Reports) not available in Runtime?

Vincent can speak to this better than I, but yeah. The 90 days (I thought it was 30, but whatever) is for you to try it & see if you like it. If you were to purchase another reporting tool (such as...

This one is in TFM :)

Open DR Help, search for "deploy" & that page will tell you what you need to deploy.
