Which is why I was using Clear_All! ;)

    Glad it is helping. :)

Yes, the two combos and the form all have OnChange (the Form optionally uses OnKillFocus instead, depending on pbFilterOnValueChange) procedures which send FilterChange, which in turn...

    Re: Filtered cDbCJGrid class

Yes, it was the pain of the one-by-one approach that prompted it (that and the user saying: "Well you did it for that one, how hard can it be to do it for these 15?" He's a big fan of...

    Filtered cDbCJGrid class

I found a need to be able to filter cDbCJGrids on any column in the grid. After a coding couple, I got tired of writing the mechanism each time, so I made a class (Doh! ;)).

    It is simple to use:...

    Try NavigateToString sVariable.

Addendum... ignore me - I was thinking of a different thing entirely! :(

  8. Re: How to allow the user to select a printer?

    Dennis

    Might I suggest that:

cPrintDialog be added to the Help
cPrintDialog be added to the Class Palette in the "Dialogs" section (perhaps with something similar to my code above added to...

Yes! I spotted that before I saw your post, but that's the right answer and my amended code is above.

  10. Re: How to allow the user to select a printer?

And we have (kind of! ;)) a winner!

    Object oPrintDialog is a cPrintDialog
    End_Object

    Object oPrint is a Button
    Set Location to 0 0
    Set Label to "Print"
  11. Re: How to allow the user to select a printer?

    OK, progress! :)

Get PrintDialog of an object of the cPrintDialog class gets me the PrinterDialog I wanted.

Now to see if it works!

    To be continued...

cPrintDialog is looking interesting, although after five minutes I've not yet got it to work (the SelectPrinter function there)... looks like I need to populate its psDeviceName property...
  13. Re: How to allow the user to select a printer?

    Michael

I'm getting a string back from a REST service that it wants me to send to a printer, so I want to let the user choose which printer to send it to.

    I've been struggling with PrintDlgEx,...
  14. Re: How to allow the user to select a printer?

    Samuel

    OK, got that thanks. :)

But alas, although it now compiles (after a bit of hacking around ;)) under 20.1, it doesn't actually work.

Back to the drawing board. :(

  15. Re: How to allow the user to select a printer?

    Thanks Samuel! :)

Now just looking for the cDateTime Library it uses... hmm,,, not doing so well with that. I'll see if perhaps I don't actually need it.

I'm not using a reporting tool - I just need to select a printer to send stuff to. :(

  17. How to allow the user to select a printer?

I just want to pop-up the standard printer dialog:

    How do I do that?

Yes, Here was one of the ones I showed in my demo - I've provided connectors in that for LocationIQ, Open Mapquest, Position Stack, Geocode IO, OpenCage, Here Geocoding, Trimble and Google.

  24. Re: Question: How to Stop a Program running a long ESQL from going into a 'Non-Responsive' mode ?

Running the PowerShell script with RunProgram {Shell} Background, I'd say.

Of course you wouldn't get any feedback unless you made things more complicated. :p
