Re: REST - How to get the reponse

another thing you can do to make it easier for people to use is to create an OpenAPI / Swagger document

our REST library automatically creates that so you can hand to to developers. it shows all...

Re: REST - How to get the reponse

i would use json because it is more controlled to read on the client side

you can simply build your own json and return it as a string

Re: REST - How to get the reponse

here is an example of what our REST library returns in case of an error

    {

Re: REST - How to get the reponse

    Anders

a REST service is just another HTTP method

HTTP methods have several options to return data

    Response Headers
HTTP Status Code and HTTP Status Message

Re: Webservice Security - Beginner question

yes a REST service is different on the server as well as client side. Not a major amount of work though on either side generally and of course you can leave both running at least for a while until...

trying to make sense of all of it

you have 2 different web applications. One runs in the cloud and one runs locally, correct?

Re: REST - How to get the reponse

so you are building the server side REST API that is called by someone else?

in that case you are returning a http response code and data to the client.

what you are sending back s up to you....

Re: REST - How to get the reponse

i am guessing you are talking about a REST client after calling the server

    there are two parts

    1) HTTP Response Code and Message
every REST service will respond with a response code depending...

    Re: Runprogram to activated executable

you need some form of IPC (Inter process communication)

Re: WebService: Customize the SOAP response

Re: Something is wrong with constrain as
