    Re: programs folder

Look in the help under pshome
    Then base it on that.
I’d you use psDataPath instead ensure you use the first one in the index. This makes sense when you read the help.

Re: ERROR: Cannot find Winprint Viewer's Window

    Phil

I assume that it has been running fine for many years and on many sites.

So first to check is indeed if the pc in question has a default printer.

Note that in the newer windows this is...

From memory there was a winprint.dll naming conflict. Unsure if that is related to your issue though. Was many years ago...

    Re: CSV Export

Excel is essential as the accounts department often have to consolidate data from 5+ systems.
So excel macros can pull the data together.

You could say that this should be with a collating system...

Re: Am I the first webapp of the pool?

What about a table with a record per PID (process).
You can store the extra information there.
You can check sibling windows processes and clean from the table if no longer there. And you check...

Re: Set_Argument_Size 50mb slows things down

I keep the code block always REALLY tight around making the arg size larger, moving “” to the strings and restoring the size. I suggest you do the same.
If you do need to keep a long value around...

Re: Print PDF document without user interaction

We have used https://www.glyphandcog.com/XpdfPrint.html for many years.
Very easy to use, fast and super stable.
  9. Re: Field's losing values when un-rendered in DF 20?

    To Dataaccess
The migration wizard could detect dynamic pbRender setting and warn the user that application changes might be necessary.

Have you considered using a powershell script?
  12. Re: How do I Copy/Paste a PDF file in Windows 19.1

    Hi Archie
Make your ‘paste window’ an iebrowser object in your application navigated to a file//.

That has worked since 2000 even through some security changes are annoying.

I always recommend RDS it makes life so much easier.
Integration could be improved a bit by fetching into variant array rather than via strings and I hope that’s in the wings.

    Re: Print multiple copies

    Perhaps behaviour from vpe could be made available in DFR;

Vpe has a cool feature where you could store all settings for a printer in a binary file.

So you would have one button in your

Mike just triggered an idea for resolving a trap I had before as well.

    Extend the migration wizard to:
Notify any package filenames in the workspace that match DataFlex package...
  17. Re: String with both ' and ". Is there an easier way ?

Or just use a backtick (or in 20.0 an Unicode character), then do a replaces after that.

  19. Re: Duplicate Augmentation, blasts from the past

    Re: A List&Label question.

    Hi Chris

So why could you not use vpe? I would have thought that vdf7 should work fine with that, without specific setup.
    Perhaps my memory needs refreshing...
