Re: REST API in windows DF2021

    Hi Edgar

I've done several calls using REST and to be totally honest, I am always struggling to find the right one. It always seems to be determined by the side receiving the request.

    Using...

It was hard to track it in the Debugger when I had this happen, because it only happened when I Exitted the application. In my case I had to think about anything that I had changed recently and...

That's where I was getting them too....

It seemed to be that during the application close a message to clear (or rebuild) the data with different constraints was being sent to a CJGrid that had...

    Re: Invalid message msg_PrepareParms

    Hi Garret

I find that I get that when I have a cCJGrid on a tab page, that hasn't been initialized.

Essentially every place where I send a message to that object, I make sure that it is...

    Re: Updating running DataFlex applications

I use a method similar to Peter's. It takes a bit of time to plan and create the correct update processes, but well worth it. We have one app that about 170 agencies use equating to about 2500...

Re: Error: 4354. Dates are unconverted

Easily done, especially on an embedded database... I've seen users mistype 2019 as 219 (missed the 0), which when not validated will get saved in the embedded db.

Re: Error 5120: 404 File Not Found

    What is the DataPath ?

Re: Error: 4354. Dates are unconverted

I've run into something similar a long time ago.

I found that in some cases (usually in really old databases that have been around since DF2.3) I might have a date that literally only has 2 digits...
