  2. Re: Why is importing a CSV file so darned difficult?

    Re: buttons at runtime

just create them dynamically and place them in a grid the way you want.

if you need to be able to modify the display you will either need to keep track of the objects so you can destroy them

  6. Re: Combo_Item_Matching Does Not Find If Content = (*) - Returns 0

    Re: Emailing without the Wait

3-5 seconds sounds awfully slow, maybe for an email with a large attachment

sadly DF still doesnt support multi threading / async processing

  10. Re: 2 functions, same name, different parameters - what goes wrong here?

here is an excerpt of the current doc about calling class/object functions

    ----
A class's behavior is defined by the methods that it implements. In DataFlex, there are two types of methods:...
  11. Re: 2 functions, same name, different parameters - what goes wrong here?

    Vincent

anytime a language allows you to define parameters and/or return types and internally modifies their data type without warning you and in turn loosing data is a terrible design flaw in the...
  12. Re: 2 functions, same name, different parameters - what goes wrong here?

its one of the many hidden dangers in the language. Luckily in your case it showed up as an error in our case it was silently modifying the return data loosing the decimals
  13. Re: 2 functions, same name, different parameters - what goes wrong here?

same thing happens if you declare two properties in 2 objects with the same name or 2 functions with in different classes with the same name but different return types

    remember the renamed...

  16. Re: Is It possible to Embed a Java App inside Win32 Dataflex App?

must be something else. We literally have hundreds of pointer only buttons in several apps that work without any hickups. the no focusable object thing is one you have to be careful about.
