    Re: Community crash test challenge

    1. Yes, second run of H4 at least is usually perfect.
more later, I've something to finish. Also I want to make sure I didn't bend anything during the install.

    Re: Odd grid behavior

I don't think I've had this happen to me in testing but I'm aware of some of our less patient users reporting grid errors that we couldn't replicate.
Would you suggest this might be a useful...

    Re: Community crash test challenge

Below is exactly the bug I reported on Saturday, only today it manifested itself in whatever version of H3 I have, after a clean boot, then starting H419.1 and H420x64.

Re: Constrain OR function not working?

Love it! I think I worked with some of the guys in the list at the end.

    True story:

I was a project manager for CMG on a large ERP system with a long time-frame. It was late 70s/early 80s...

I was in Miami Beach for something Non-Dataflex, almost 2 years ago now.

Fern collected me from my hotel, then took me to lunch and eventually the airport. A great catch-up and almost 4 hours of...

    Re: DD Validation Bug IMHO

Not really what I'm saying. I just don't see why backout needs to validate and reject invalid codemast entries, when if they were not updated any error would be caught by the update anyway.

Re: Class generator doesn't like WDSL in JSON

yeah, the swagger utility turned it into JSON for me. Just a pity I've nothing on tap to spin that JSON into a struct. Only took me an hour or so to build a struct to accept the output but I'm sure...

    DD Validation Bug IMHO

We've spent an unproductive few hours trying to work out why a dbComboValidation table didn't work, and finally found a reason.

If the PREVIOUS value of a field isn't in the codemast it throws an...

I'll have a look at Mike's original to see how he handles things but it looks like a slog. Thanks for the pointers.

How do you find the time to keep up with this stuff? awesome as usual, Mike.

    Re: Recreating INT files

Ah SQL. I was managing a project using CICS in 1980/81 when we were all sent on a course about Codd & Date's SQL , raw and regarded as unreliable at that time. We were told we had to design all files...

Class generator doesn't like WDSL in JSON

I think I've confused myself (like THAT's never happened before)

Trying to generate a class to handle Namescan.io queries, using the Create New | Client Webservice class dialog.

    the url I've...
  14. Anybody doing PEP scans, with Namescan, for instance?

And yes, I had a PET scan last week, but this is anti-money-laundering stuff, and means 'Politically Exposed Persons'

    Re: Sluggish studio

I actually find 20 a bit speedier than 19.1 generally.

That said, whenever I get a slow-down it's ALWAYS AV (IOBit in my case) doing something in the background.

  18. Re: Feature request: NOT all your source is UTF-8

I'd rather see that in clear, so I'd +1 on the {encoding= } idea. But being the americas side of the pond I'd like that to be the default, so {encoding=UTF8} where required.

    Batch compiling

I use a cmdline bat file to mass-compile my 570-odd sources.

I can't find anything in the work-in-progress help about how I could force the compiler, in the script, to compile for 32 bit or 64.
