    Re: Skinning

DataFlex 19.0 still has a Skinning demo application, but later versions don't. So you can see how that works.

    Re: Skinning

    Hi Dave,

First of all I use the standard CodeJock control of DataFlex 19.1 and 20.0. This is version 18.3.0. With CodeJock version 19.3.0 the style Windows10.cjstyles is delivered. I have copied...

    Re: Skinning

    Hi Dave,

When you have a license for the full CodeJock controls you can use Windows10.cjstyles from a recent CodeJock version in combination with the CodeJock controls of DataFlex 19.1...

    Re: Date and DateTime inconsistency

    Hi Vincent,

Of course I know that my regional settings are different than the settings in the US. I have tried to explain that Date variables are NOT sensitive to regional settings and DateTime...

    Date and DateTime inconsistency

There is an inconsistency between Date and DateTime variables. With Date variables it is possible to use a "/" or a "-" as a separator. In the code below you can see that the result is the same.

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the update. It is good to hear.
  7. CodeJock 20.0.0 for DataFlex 20.1 ???

I just want to you (DAW) to know that CodeJock released v20.0.0. DF 20.0 is using v18.3.0 and hopefully v20.0.0 is good enough to be the used in DF 20.1.

I contains a new Windows 10 theme. (At the...

    Re: Its Still Illogical

Another option might be a "No_Delete_State" in the configuration menu. There is already a "Open/Set Tables Readonly" option.

    Re: capitalizing Address

Thanks. I didn't know the altName feature, but it can be very useful. I will use it for "number" variable.

    Re: capitalizing Address

Well, I have the same issue. A JSON webservice has nice variable named "number" (lowercase). If you accidently put the cursor of the Studio editor put on that line the variable is uppercased to...

    Re: Being consitent

Indeed the new way is much more consistent. The new way is supported if you enter it manually, but the Studio still generates the old way.

Re: What MS SQL Client softwear do I need?

The error message tells that the SQL client version is too low.

  15. Re: Help Dataflex failed after updating Connectivity Drivers

    Hello Renato,

What happens when you do a manual copy of DevelopmentGuide.chm and Tools.chm from the Help folder of the ZIP file? For me it is just working with DataFlex 18.2 and 19.1.
  16. Re: Programmatic PDF Export producing empty output

Output_Device_Mode is a property defined in the class ReportView_Mixin. You are probably using another class. DataFlex Reports is using peOutputDestination.
  17. Re: Preview: oReport has no Window handle

AFAIK views have a Window handle and modal dialogs not. I suppose that the report object is a child of a modal dialog.

Re: List of servers in SQL Server

    Hi Edgar,

The error message in DF is about named pipes. Maybe you have to switch off the support of named pipes and be sure that TCP/IP is correctly configured.
  19. Re: How to use multiple ODBC connections in one DR8.0.1 report

A workaround in SQL Server is to use Synonyms. In that case it looks like you have just one database and you can use one connection.

    Re: The next hurdle

    Hi Mike,

At least your are missing the ODBC Driver for SQL Server. Your dialog shows SQL Server Native Client 11.0.

In my applications I use code to dynamically change the ODBC connection. I...

    Re: OK, Next Problem...

First of all I would try to use the integration classes of version 5. The changes between the classes of version 3 (VRW) and 4 (DR) are rather big. I can't remember it exactly anymore, but probably...
  24. Re: Deployment of Mobile Web App without a Trusted connection

Glad that I could help. I have paid my dues in this matter
  25. Re: Deployment of Mobile Web App without a Trusted connection

You have to create a small Windows testprogram, so that you can enter and save (once) the password for the connection ID.
