    Re: Temporary Indexes

As long as all tenants have identically defined tables, then there should not be any issues.

I am working on a multi-tenant project now also, although it is not in DataFlex.

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

I did not actually try splitting it into 2 statements in my code, but you can see I did split it up in the watch window.

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

Yup! nROCostAmt and nNonROCostAmt are Numbers and ROSEG.TOTAL_Taxes is a table column defined as decimal(10,2)

But checking the pieces individually was correct.
    (nROCostAmt + ROSEG.TOTAL_Taxes)...

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

So other than just changing the 0 to 0.0 in the expression, is there a better way to do this?

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

Mike, I agree. See my response to you above. I did use "more specific logic" and it still failed. There is still some kind of Integer conversion going on where there should not be.

    For the...

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

Well, that is similar to the actual line of code that made me start this post.

The highlighted line is the code that failed.

In this case, I found that changing the 0 to 0.0 corrected...

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

I think in older versions of DF, a Boolean was really just an Integer, but I think it is now a first class variable type.

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

Also, I noticed that there is no Boolean function like there is for Integer, Date, Number, String, etc..

    Re: Incorrect Boolean Logic

So a number must convert to an integer before converting to a boolean?

    Incorrect Boolean Logic

    Showln (0 or 0) // False
    Showln (1 or 1) // True
    Showln (0 or 1) // True

All is good above, but here is the problem.

Showln (0.5 or 0.5) // Incorrectly returns FALSE, should be True

    Re: Error include proces

You can't include a CLASS twice.

My guess is that your views are deferred. If you access the second view before the first view, then the class is not yet defined.

I suggest to include the file...

    Re: Can't Open Tables

This has happened to me again... 3rd time.

I know I can resolve it by reducing the overall size of the "paths" of the workspace and all libraries.

  14. Re: Somewhat OT - MySQL Select Statement

FYI: This works the same in TSQL. Repeat the escape character to escape itself.
  15. Re: ProgressBar: piMaximum > 2,147,483,647 records

Ya, I am sorta surprised that I never hit this issue in the past ten years... I have made the appropriate changes. All is working well now.
  16. Re: ProgressBar: piMaximum > 2,147,483,647 records

I know who that someone is. It is me. I suppose I would still get a mild enjoyment for buying myself a beer or two for doing the task. LOL. :D
  17. Re: ProgressBar: piMaximum > 2,147,483,647 records

Beer always works wonders... And I would gladly pay it, but I would still have to travel to your location to discuss the process over a cold beer (or two, or three, etc...).

    When will you be back...
  18. Re: ProgressBar: piMaximum > 2,147,483,647 records

    So I will have to

    Save "X" to property
Divide by "x" for setting the maximum.
Test for mod "x" for sending DoAdvance
Multiply by "x" for display in the status panel.

    Am I missing anything?
  19. Re: ProgressBar: piMaximum > 2,147,483,647 records

Ya, I thought of that too... And that is the best approach, but it entails a lot code rewriting, since I still want my progress to show the actual number of items processed.

    But since I have all...
  20. ProgressBar: piMaximum > 2,147,483,647 records

Has anyone had an issue with processing more than 2.14 million items while using a progressbar?

I get an error of "Number too Large, etc..."

I see the problem being that "integer" can't hold...

    Re: SQL ERROR from DF

Left side is "functional" database, right side is "non-functional" database.

I'll see if I can capture the sql statement it is trying to execute.

Well, I was surprised to see a slight difference.

But even so, I don't see how these differences could cause the error.

Re: Permissions needed for DF Folder

I would think you can do just READ/EXECUTE for the bin folder and then specifically add WRITE to just the *.dfr file inside bin. This would be slightly more secure.
