  1. Re: Failed find on child DDO appears to clear its parent

    That's what I do. Works a treat!

Seeing Samuel's post - he has a point I think. Try Clear_Retain_Parents instead of the simple Clear & see if it works better?

    Re: Multi-line strings

I thought the studio automatically changed tabs to spaces - or is that a setting that I always leave on?

    Re: Multi-line strings

I don't know how difficult it'd be. I can think of a way to do it in DF code - but don't know if they can do it that way in the language.

    Re: Multi-line strings

So - you're saying it should check the alignment (indentation) of the first line & allow for that in the next lines? Sounds complex to me.

    Re: Multi-line strings

Just to be argumentative... What if you want the spaces?

Re: Global Function not playing nice

That was my thought. Concatenating (using + and *) requires strings.

If you'd used move & append, it woulda worked:

Move "("Select Count(*) From DeliverAddresses Where Customer = " to sSQL...

Re: DBBldr Load Def Tab key weirdness

Re: DBBldr Load Def Tab key weirdness

I just tried it on 20 (Win10) & at first fire-up of DBBuilder the tab order is really strange. It then, once I click on the # form, works fine & continues to do so. Reboot, fire it up & get the...

    DF Version Icons

    Hi -

Where are the replacement icons for DF Studio? The 18.2, 19.0, etc ones. I can't find them here.

    Thanks!

    Re: Should I be afraid?

On a more humorous note, I found this:

    If (nVal < 0) Begin
    If (nVal > 0) Begin
    15+ lines of code
    End
    End

Re: WebApp.exe showing as a virus

While we all know it's a false positive, telling a customer to "just add an exception to their AV" is not easy. I realize it's difficult to get all AV programs to not flag DF exes, but I've run into...

Make them datetimes & subtract one from the other. That will handle going over midnight as well. Note that it produces a timespan.

Re: VD7 application connection to DB2

INT - not INI !! INT as in intermediate. If there is a data folder, they should be in that folder. There should be an INT file for each table: customer.int, orders.int, etc.
