Yep, that makes perfect sense. Thanks Mike.

    Re: Rounding functions?

    Hi,

Have a look at this one:
    https://dataflex.wiki/index.php/Rounding_Numbers

it might help as it has a few more options as what is in the standard round function of DataFlex.

Re: Language Request : Multiline strings.

    Mike,

The Studio can edit SQL Files, but IIRC the codemax control does not handle code syntax highlighting for an embedded language. But I might be mistaken.
The scintilla editor OTOH is able to...

Re: Language Request : Multiline strings.

Yep, not supported in the Studio.
I can also tell you it isn't supported in The Hammer as this is entirely new to me, so I did not anticipate this use case.

While this feature does make sense in...

Really this is the FIRST time I have ever seen that you can use a semicolumn within a string literal to split up a string over multiple lines...
    and YES it compiles

    Re: WebApp designer not working

    Mike,

That screenshot makes me think you are developing on a Windows Server (not Server 2019 from the looks of it)

If so, then check the security settings of the browser as the default "Hard...

    Hi Jose,

Get the cFileSystem class from SVN...

  20. Sticky: Re: Recent Microsoft Changes to Windows 10 May Impact Functionality and/or Data Integrity

    Thanks Stephen.

So this in effect means that if your DataFlex application runs on Windows 10 (any version) and the setting is checked, you're in trouble.

Is there a registry key we can check on...
  21. Re: Why is importing a CSV file so darned difficult?

    Hi,

Another one you might want to look at is: dbImport

I haven't used it in a while myself, but AFAICR it should just work.

  22. Re: 2 functions, same name, different parameters - what goes wrong here?

Yeah.. it's a huge problem and I agree with Mike's assessment.

  23. Re: 2 functions, same name, different parameters - what goes wrong here?

    Andrew,

Not good enough as it is allowed by the compiler and a bucket load of developers like to use move for functions.
The compiler should be throwing warnings if you do this.

    Yes that would...
