    Ok,

    Made simple tests, either by running from db2 CLP (command line) and tested from OnConstrain, applying an SQLFilter, against a unicode Db, CHAR column.
    Tested on 19.1 and Both worked...

    Yes marco..

    You are correct. Embeeded SQL I had to translate the entire stmt to ANSI before submitting, on DF 19.1 and previous release.. I forgot to mention that.

    What is the cardinality for all 3 tables?

    Don’t you have an index for table2 and table3 PKs? (For the join)
    but you beed also another index defined in the columns you want to sort -name and Type...

    Isn’t there anything that you can set at table level (identity col attribute) or any other place like at the odbc client level to make this ?

    I bet your problem is not the insert statement, but actually all the others SET statememts.

    Just for sake of testing. If you try only the insert alone, without that others statements it shoud...

    The application can specify which code page it uses when connecting to the db. If not Specified by...

    Db2 for example has no restriction on this!
    That N’...’ is not required at all.

    And I believe other DBMSs may use a different pattern as well ...
