    Re: Copy file to clipboard

    Thanks to all!

We'll look into the Outlook Drag and Drop, chestysoft .ocx and Clipboard Library.

Currently we're testing with the cMapiHandler class, which seems to do exactly what we need at...

  3. Checked_State of CheckBox in Mouse_Up Procedure

    Hi!

I'm converting an app from 14.1 to 19.0 and there is some code that gets the Checked_State of a CheckBox in Mouse_Up.

It seems, the behavior of CheckBox changed somewhere between VDF 14.1...

    Re: dbList + reusing recnums

    yes, the VDPLANEH_DD object is:

    Object VDPLANEH_DD is a cVdplanehDataDictionary
    Set DDO_Server to Vdplan_DD
    Set Constrain_file to VDPLAN.File_number
    Set Ordering to 2

The child's unique index is: 5 related fields + 2 fields to make it unique:

(but there's another index, index 3, with less fields and recnum to be unique. The dbList is ordered by index.2 -...

    dbList + reusing recnums

    Hi!

I have a dbList in a dbView, showing child data constrained to parent A (the parent is the main file of the dbView).

Now some process deletes a record of the child table (e.g. recnum 10)...
  7. Re: 2 dbLists in a dbModalPanel (same file, different constraints)

    1) My first solution: (seemed to work, but not the recommended way)

    Object oVdplaneh_DD is a cVdplanehDataDictionary
    Set DDO_Server to oVdplan_DD
    End_Object

    Object oVdplaned1_DD is a...
  8. 2 dbLists in a dbModalPanel (same file, different constraints)

    Hi!

What's the right way to show data of the same file, but with different constraints in 2 dbList objects?

    This "seems" to work:

    3 DD objects:
    - oHeader_DD (Main DD)
    - oChild_DD1
    -...

    Re: Embedded database size limit

    Vincent,

until now, we didn't think about how recnums work (that they're no stored values in the embedded database). And yes, the problem is, currently we ARE using the recnums of this table for a...

    Re: Embedded database size limit

    Hi Tyro,

I've tried it now. It works (the file size is reduced), but the recnums are recalculated, which is a problem in our case. I think, there is no way to reduce file size and keep the...

    Re: Embedded database size limit

    Hi Dennis,

thanks for your reply. After deleting some records, I've tried compressing and uncompressing, but after uncompressing, the file size was the same as the size before compressing. I've...

    Re: Embedded database size limit

    Hi Dennis,

deleting records doesn't seem to influence the .dat filesize.

So, to reduce the filesize after deleting some records, we could:

    - export records
    - zerofile
    - import records

    SaveRecord after "open as"

Our goal is to use the same existing code to access 2 tables (both tables are in the filelist and have identical fields and indexes)

Before we access TABLE2, we use open "TABLE2" as TABLE1.

    thanks! This helps us!

What issues did you have with Pervasive (which Version?), we'll also use Pervasive (Version 10), not MSSQL.
