OT: Vimalin a product for macOS and VMware virtual machines
Hi,
It's a tad bit off topic. Well OK.. OK very off topic.
But I just want to display the tool I have been building over time and just released.
Guess I'm still a bit hyper about it.
It is a tool that integrates with VMware's Fusion and runs on macOS.
You can use it for making backups of virtual machines running under Fusion and allows you to schedule those backups, get email notifications etc..
It can be found here: http://www.vimalin.com
Here's a couple of screenshots:

Looks like a very nice & clean user interface. Well done.

Well done Wil - congratulations!
I was wondering where the name a logo came from so I hit the web site and - will you look at that - the name is explained on the About page
Still curious about the paw logo.
Oh, and I noticed on the about page that you have "built" instead of "build" in the 5th paragraph.

Fixed the typo, much appreciated for pointing it out.
The little cat paw logo is due to that my wife is a pretty big fan of cats and I did happen to like them as well.
At the time when we were both living in Bangkok we could not get a cat, as pets where not allowed at the condo.
So the cat related theme was not that strange for us.
When looking for a logo this was what clicked for us. The reasoning "cat paw" -> "print" -> "backup" is perhaps a bit far fetched, but the logo does work well.
The project used to have code name "cat paw".
Nowadays here in Holland there's a little furry animal living here with us, a programmers buddy and strangely enough his feet look a bit like the logo. ;)

Thanks Clive, it also looks quite good as an icon in the dock.

Actually it might even look good on the Windows task bar too. ;)

Re: OT: Vimalin a product for macOS and VMware virtual machines
Hi there,
Over the past few months I have been working on creating "Vimalin for Windows", a backup program for your virtual machines running under VMware Workstation. Somehow it looks a lot like Vimalin for Fusion. :)
As the product is nearing a public release I am still searching for a few more beta testers.
Some screenshots:
